What people had to say!
Hi Patty, I just wanted to thank you for inviting me again to your show. After so many years it is still one of the best locations for my work. I had a fantastic show and I appreciate all the work that you do to create such an incredible show. I hope you much success in the future.
What makes a good show? Sales certainly count. Patty is a media expert and uses all her knowledge to get great publicity and bring in the crowds. She wants a good show and is willing to provide every advantage she can, prior day set up, aggressive policing of buy-sell, fair jurying and numerous awards that help sales. I want to do her shows because she is on my side.
Dear Patty, Thank you for the photo. FYI – Sunday following the award ceremony, with that big blue ribbon handing in our booth, Pam and I set a 40 year one day sales record and came the closest we have ever been to completely selling out of handbags. It has taken us a month the bring our inventories back while continuing to do shows.
Absolutely the ribbon-only award helped. Customers crowded the booth to see what took a “big blue ribbon”. It validated the quality and execution for patrons who had never seen my work before. Customers couldn’t get enough. I had a lot of multiple sales. It was like doing a show on the North Shore if Chicago where customers shop Europe and recognize the leather I use.
Thanks for your email reminder. You are one awesome show promoter/director since the time I knew you and I am glad that many Artists still talk about you in good ways… You truly make our art your passion… That is scarce these days. Please continue to do what you are doing.
Dear Patty, While doing the Orchard Lake Fine Art Show in West Bloomfield, I sold to a basketball player. His friend saw the three pictures and then wanted one of my pieces. His friend ended up buying three more pieces at the next show. In Chicago, he showed up with his family, and they bought several more pieces. The following show, he showed up with cousins. This went on for the entire summer. A good show became a GREAT show.
