Professional Artist Grants

Professional artists were hit hard by the pandemic. Thousands of shows across the country were canceled destroying the ability for so many artists to earn a living. Artists like so many others are dealing with the lasting effects of the pandemic, the effects of recovering from long Covid, economic hardship, and the rebuilding of their all too often fragile businesses. Throughout the pandemic, Hot Works planned safe open air art fairs and provided dozens of grants to struggling artists who just couldn’t afford the booth fee or travel expenses. Your donations will allow us to expand this program as we move forward with new shows to meet the exploding demand for quality art fairs.

$1,000 – Provides expert one-to-one “Access to Market” guidance, education, planning and support for an emerging artist. The program facilitates the accomplishment of an artist’s goals to succeed and thrive. You will receive a piece of art as a thank you gift as well as a summary of progress.

$750 – Covers the cost to help a struggling artist exhibit and show their work… maybe for the first time.

$500 – Supports an artist who has recently suffered a loss from a hurricane, flood, fire, or earthquake.

$100 – Provides a grant for an emerging artist to buy art supplies.

Institute for the Arts & Education

is a 501c3 non-profit focused on visual arts, cultural diversity, community enrichment, and fostering art education among youth. As part of our commitment to bring art education into the community, the Youth Art Competition for ages 5-13 is integrated within the art show. This program encourages students to enter his/her original art publicly displayed in the art show the entire weekend. On Sunday at 3 pm, there is $250 Youth Art Awards presented at the show as young artists are exposed to the rules and entrepreneurship of doing art shows for a living. Each youth art winner also receives the same two-foot-long colorful gorgeous ribbon that the professional artists receive. (We are looking for a sponsor for this area.)
